Day 2 - stupid reflux (more motivation)

Well, after a day of finishing off the leftovers from our New Years Eve party (luckily the sausage balls were all gone) I was totally prepared to get up at 5:30AM today and do an exercise video with my wife (Richard Simmons Disco Sweat - you just can’t beat this oldie). Yet after eating a bunch of chips and salsa and some pop, my acid reflux kicked in about 1:30AM and I was up (playing Wii) for 3 hours. Needless to say 5:30AM did not happen. Now I have felt bad all day due to the lack of sleep. Let’s pray that tomorrow is better.

Out of the mouths of babes…

Big Guy… Well of course I’m a big guy. I am a 6′1″ obese, well morbidly obese (sounds horrible huh?) white male. And to a set of 3 year old twins I would definitely be a “Big Guy”. I think of this because 2 years ago at Christmas, my twin nieces could not remember my name so they just called me big guy. At the time I thought it was adorable. Looking back it was just another name to have been called all because I was overweight. As we pass another Christmas, a time of hope and joy, I found myself over eating once again, but never thinking twice about it. My wife and I struggle with food and lack of exercise. We both over eat and the consume the wrong foods (pizza, Dr. Pepper and chocolate). I sit on my butt all day, at the computer (hey it’s my job). So as I write this post, my wife is writing hers. We will blog together and watch our lives change. To quote her “It’s All About TIME!
